What materials did you use? Cotton and cotton batiks

What are you most proud of? I just love it and exhibited it at the Boquete Library, Panama quilt show put on by my quilting group. Emily, my dear friend, says it makes her a bit dizzy but she chose it. My quilting which is not evident on the photo is free motion double rain drops which worked with with all the seams in the quilt as I could avoid the heavily seamed centers of the stars and other joins. Done on an HandiQuilter Sweet Sixteen and I had a great time doing it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make the small version and then decide if you want to move on to larger versions. Gail's book has complete instructions and other quilts and patterns but the pieces to this one are big and can be difficult to handle. The small wall quilt is just spectacular and you could use some of Gail's other paper pieced ideas and add to the quilt somehow without making 6 copies. But learn to paper piece in this course as Peggy makes it simple and has lots of good tips. I have been paper piecing for about 5 years and learned a ton from just the first three parts. Paper piecing is tough for me as I have ADD and some dyslexia so sewing things backwards and at a weird angle is very challenging. Peggy has taken some of the pain out of my often made mistakes.

WOW ... this is really beautiful.

I learned yesterday while working on this course that I should have mirror imaged every other block. I wanted the swooping triangles in greens to move across the quilt. Maybe I will make another. We all learn from our mistakes.
