What was your inspiration?

I fell in love with the pattern because I could use a lot of different fabrics that I had in my stash.

What are you most proud of?

The quilting. I used techniques learned in Quilting Big Quilts on a Small Machine and was thrilled with the outcome. The quilt lay flat, the stitching is some of my best, the threads didn't break and I enjoyed every minute of the work that went into this quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Fabric selection is key to getting the explosion feel in the quilt. The only thing I did different than was suggested in the pattern, I used solid black on the outside border rather than several different black fabrics. I would certainly do this project again.
