What was your inspiration?

Peggy Martin's class is great. Her use of color and the instructions in class made this an easy project. Hardest part is the boarders. This quilt just did not want boarders. I can't wait to make this with regular cotton fabric too!

What are you most proud of?

Paper piecing flannel and it turned out pretty darn good!

Your Pinwheel Polka doggie quilt is so cute!! I'm quite impressed that you were able to join your blocks so well when using flannel - that must have been a bit of a challenge where all the seams came together. But the quilt came out beautifully, and was used for such a worthy cause! Nice work - now you will be amazed how much easier the next one will be when using regular cotton!

Thank you! I actually made a few blocks beforehand and was so taken with the technique that I thought I would try it with the flannel and it worked wonderfully. I was worried it would be rather stiff at the seams but after washing, it softened up and is super cuddley. Thanks again for such a wonderful class. I have been using your technique with other types of blocks and it is great. :-)
