I used Embroidery Library Vintage machine embroidery designs for the front and a simple self-designed pattern for the pot holders/oven mitts. The construction method hides all seams. The quilting sandwich consists of the outer embroidery layer, "Insul-bright" heat-resistant lining and a inner lining.Difficulty:

I love all things vintage. The colour combination was chosen to match a friend's recent hand-painted table cloth for her kitchen.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just start. Hand embroidery, fabric painting or hand quilting will work.
