What was your inspiration?

I saw the pattern in a new magazine that I had purchase. How the flower petals were made intrigued, me so I cut a few out to give it a try - once I did I was hooked. It was fast and easy. The whole quilt top from start to finish took about a week working on and off. I have a friend whose daughter will enjoy this quilt.

What are you most proud of?

That I started it and completed it so quick - but mostly that I used some brand new fabric without having to go out and find some new stuff - which I had to do for the background and edges because i didn't have enough at home, but it will be finished shortly and ready for my friends 3 year old to snuggle with!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is so easy! Have patience when cutting out the pieces - I did 3 at a time - 10 petals each then sewed them together - ironed and then made the flower. then another 3 and then another 3. Much easier and fun to see how it turns out.

Make sure you use a stabilizer - I used Ricky Tim's tear away and it's fabulous - easy to tear and soft to work with.
