What was your inspiration?
My sister gave me the denim flower with a recycled zipper in the middle and the top of a pair of jeans. I added the doily and crochet a strap out of cotton yarn and then added some fabric for strength. The bag is unlined.
What are you most proud of?
It is just a fun bag ... I actually sold this to someone for a gift for her teenage daughter.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just use your imagination and have fun!
Be sure to use a denim needle when sewing up the side because the seam is very thick. I used an industrial upholstery machine to sew the side seam.
