Ooooh love this one Darns! Its on my list to do too! Beautiful FMQ'g... love the detail you've achieved... obviously fun to do something on a smaller scale... you totally rocked this one girl!
Thanks a lot, Pam! I've had a lot of fun with that Quick Curve ruler! I'm giving this one to my brother & SIL - hoping that I got the colors close to what they painted their living/dining room.
I love the quilting you've done on this and the lovely soft greens you've used.
Thank you! Always experimenting with quilting patterns - -
really like this, especially the color combo. Great quilting, very proportionate for the project. I've never been one for quilting every inch, mostly because all I did before taking these classes was quilt in the ditch, but I love this and I'm beginning to venture out with FMQ'ing and getting away from in the ditch quilting. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful!
Thank you, sewmom204! Learning to FMQ was a real challenge - took me about a year & a LOT of Craftsy classes to feel even somewhat competent. Keep practicing! Really dense quilting does stiffen the quilt so I play with the dense stuff on smaller projects where it doesn't matter too much.
Your quilting is superb, as always! I love the choices you made to fill the shapes. Very soft looking and also very tactile!
Thanks so much, Emafish! It's always difficult to decide what to quilt - I "borrowed" ideas heavily from the quilting done by Jenny at sewkindofwonderful.com. She always does wonderful work!
I like this one so much. Superb Quilting - looks great!
