What a Great variation on Carol Ann's theme. I LOVE the fabrics you chose. Who knew a two-color design could be so effective.

Nicely done! Without relying on colour your textures and patterns need to be 'spot' (giggles) on. In all seriousness, however, I LOVE the way you've used the fabrics to pull that off. This is truly a great piece.! Thank you for posting it!

Guess I'll add a comment on my color choices. About a year ago I completely redid my small house ... replaced carpet with vinyl plank, painted the white walls a kind of raspberry brick color, white sheers. I loved it but couldn't figure out the accent colors. I have lots of my sister's artwork on the walls in my favorite colors .. best described as natures' best colors. I had pillows that picked up those colors, but somehow things didn't "spark". Then I read something someplace that every room needs some black (or was it black and white?). Anyhow, I found 3 small zebra pillows at our craft fair, and immediately knew that was what would do it. So, when I saw the stitch and slash technique, I ran to my stash of black and white, and that did it. I still want to make some more ... but the statement works! I love it and plan to make more! I now have a reason to experiment! Thank you, Carol Ann!!!

The fleece was for my grandson who likes to feel soft things. As I got into it, though, this particular fleece had lots of fuzzy/hairy edges ... a polar fleece might have been better. But it does add fun texture for him.
