What was your inspiration?
I just love funky flowers and this was a really fun project which is 21 3/4" square. I used one of my absolute favorite fabrics for the borders and sashings and then pulled colors out of that fabric for the flowers.
I needleturn appliqued the flowers, machine pieced and quilted the rest. I hand sewed a hanging sleeve on the back for ease of installation.
What are you most proud of?
The way the colors worked together. Everyone smiles when they see this fun project.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have your local quilt shop help you with your colors if you are a newbie. They are very good at this and a huge advantage over the box stores, for sure.
