What was your inspiration?

Two of my grandchildren were off to their first overnight at a friend's house. They wanted a pack back because their friend had one. Mom told me of their wish and I began searching for the ultimate pattern. They were greatly appreciated.

What are you most proud of?

I loved this pattern at first glance and decided to add some of my own touches. I added the carrying loop at the top, an inside pocket and a solid bottom to help hold its shape. I also substituted nylon strapping for the fabric ones to make it more durable.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go creative, add your own touch. The backpack can be made from solid pieces of fabric or a variety of strips. It's the little final touches that make it unique, go the extra step, your friends will all want one.

I Googled Chloe's backpack pattern and found several sites where it was available to down load. It's by P&B. I hope this helps.
