White crochet cotton, size 10, a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook, foam core board, plastic wrap, fabric stiffener, paper towel, and rust-proof straight pins. Optional materials: assorted ribbon, jump rings, jewelry findings, crystal beads, clear glitter paint, ornament hangers, and small suction cups with hook.
What was your inspiration?
Snowflakes are my favorite subjects to create. I love the intricacy of snowflakes and that no two are alike!
What are you most proud of?
I enjoy playing with the stitches to create different designs. I love to see the designs take shape as I create each snowflake. The snowflakes make great ornaments, gift decorations, or even a garland.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
These snowflakes are a great project for the intermediate crocheter. Some of the snowflakes are more intricate than others - be sure to keep track of which step you're on in each of the rounds.
