What are you most proud of? I really loved the texture of the corn cob pipe. It was my first time playing around with fake wood and the gel paste and vodka gave me exactly what I was looking for. I'm also very happy with the subtle expression on Frosty's face. He has so few features, so getting each one as accurate as possible was essential.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Dowel your cake!!! Make sure everything is properly structured and supported. This was my first tall, sculpted cake and it had a ways to travel before getting to the birthday party. His head and hat were a bit too heavy for the body and made for a lot of touching up once we finally arrived.

Wondering how big he is how did you decide his head size compared to body and legs . I am going to make him for christmas, this is perfect

At his widest (mid-belly) I used a 12" round, stacked between two 9" rounds, and carved his shape from there. His head is rice krispy treat and his hat is styrofoam. I would recommend carving his head out of either cake or styrofoam as the krispy treat was a little too heavy and caused some leaning issues. Good luck!
