I have been knitting and crocheting for 55 years,(since my 2 grandmothers taught me at aged 5!) and I feel there isn't much I can't handle, with all these new patterns and styles that are coming out these days, you surely don't need classes, just a grandmother or elderly neighbour! They would be happy to not only show you a skill , but love the company to feel useful , without sounding derisory to the aged people at all. X
