Hi CariKim, They look great. it sounds like you hit a few challenges but no one would know by looking at this beautiful result. Your dough recovered nicely - that's the magic of letting it rest. The shaping and color are top notch. Nicely done. Happy Baking

Colette is a great instructor! I have to admit I had some trouble with this project... I had to throw out my first batch of dough. I used my mixer which I don't normally do when I bake bread so I ended up with a ball of stretch marks! I mix most of my dough by hand but was determined to use my Kitchenaid's dough hook this time... so I started over and tweaked the time the dough was in the mixer. Next I struggled with the turnings... I blew out butter during turn 1 and had rips in my dough exposing the butter on 2 and 3. UGH.. I put the dough in the fridge overnight and hoped it would recover by morning! I am pleased to pass on that this dough is forgiving and I had a beautiful rise, proofing and baking experience. My family sang praises and I felt like I was in Paris once again! :-)
