What was your inspiration?
The article in Martha Stewart magazine several years ago appealed to me and I had tucked it away in my idea folder. The project really came together though when a need for car mats in the back of my car collided with a gift of used jeans in my size. Most of the jeans were "mom" jeans and out of style, but the the denim was put to good use on these car mats.
What are you most proud of?
The denim strips really trap the sand and wash up great!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Put on some music you enjoy or a movie to watch/listen to as you do some mindless sewing.
