Category: Cake Decorating

Type of item: Food

For: Other

Materials

lots of yummy cakes filled with luxury chocolate filling - then iced in sugar paste.

What was your inspiration?

Maggie Austin is always my inspiration. Love her work. Then I saw a frilly wedding dress and I thought this cake just matched that look.

What are you most proud of?

I just love the way the frills look so light and see through -

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have a go, its great fun and the video is so well taught.

So pretty. Just wondering what flower cutter you used?

Thank-you! I used a large rose petal cutter and frilled the edges.

Even before I saw your title, I was thinking 'frilly'. You've truly mastered delicacy in your cake-making.

Oh thank-you so much. To get the veining in the flower I used the 'leaf' of a corn that you buy in the supermarket. Gives a lovely natural imprint.
