What are you most proud of? That I finished it! I accidentally trimmed each piece down on the solid line inside the dotted line. Whoops! I really loved my fabric..and I ran out of extra. So, I decided to just add a border around and be satisfied.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try to work on this without distractions. If you have a busy toddler, I sympathize!

It looks lovely with the extra border - I've got a block that's too small, so instead of re-making it, I just might add something, as you have done. I think yours is the first example of this block I've seen which has a bold pattern in the middle and it works well.

Thank you! What did you think of the flying geese block compared to this one as far as execution? Was it more difficult? I didn't think the circle of friends was difficult..but I got cocky at the very end at the trimming part and didn't pay close enough attention to the trimming directions.
