This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Sewing Studio: Fashion Fitting, Home Decor & More »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic, Traditional

Materials

I used Waverly cotton fabric General Store to match my drapes. I made a smaller pillow 17x17 than the class size as that was the size I needed use for my desk chair. I found the class very helpful as I am fairly new to sewing. Being able to repeat steps and view as often as needed is a great feature. I am looking forward to my next project.

What was your inspiration?

I needed a pillow for my desk chair and had some fabric that matched my drapes. I finally found a way to use up the fabric and compliment the drapery.

What are you most proud of?

I had heard of french seaming but wasn't sure how to do it. I am really proud of how it turned out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to tackle the french seaming. With Diana's attention to detail and her instructions it is very easy to follow.
