Duralee Kilburn Chocolate/Natural 100 % cotton slub duck. For Fronts & backs 20" pillow inserts

What was your inspiration?

Thanks to my grandmother who asked me to make some pillows for a holiday gift. I've been trying to make this project for a while! The pillows were perfect for the job. 2 birds - 1 stone! And to Diana, who is a great instructor.

The project is cut for an 18" pillow form - I have 20" forms in them right now. I like them overstuffed! I think it gives them a bit more casual look.

What are you most proud of?

The pattern matching at the envelope back opening. Whew!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use a woven that's stays woven! My fabric trimmed itself away as I worked by unravelling at the speed of sound. The very open linen-like weave I used is best suited for a different seam finish. Unless you're looking for a challenge lol!

Remember to keep the "inside to inside" and "outside to outside" pieces together and you'll have no problem following this class. Diana is a great teacher.
