Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: This cake was inspired by a Liancarlo bridal gown covered in French Lyon Lace. I made a silicon mold of the lace sample I received from the designer in order to recreate edible lace to match the gown perfectly. In my Cake Design Made Simple: The Wedding Dress class you will learn how to make your own custom molds and how to go about getting lace from the designers.

Do you make your own lace designs or if you make them, how do you know what to make? Do you have a rule for how many to use? Do you go by a rule on how much cake to cover when you to a trailing design? Thanks!

Hi Krista! I this class I teach you how to make the silicon molds. You do need to provide your own lace. If you are matching the lace to the bride's gown you can often get a swatch from the bridal salon, the designer, or simply from any alterations. THe number of pieces used is really dependent on how big the pieces are and how much coverage you need on the cake... no special formula. I do sell a handful of lace molds on my facebook page, including the lace you see on this cake. .https://www.facebook.com/intricateicingscakedesign/app_251458316228
