Practice, practice, practice, and take Cindy's great advice. For the small class fee we pay we get a wealth of knowledge!!! I've taken other free motion quilting classes, online and in person, but with this class things just made more sense and it became fun!!! I finally found my perfect speed, and I think that's half the battle. Let yourself go and relax and get into a Zen kind of mode. Enjoy the process and remember to breathe. Use beautiful threads and thread colors. I used the Amy Butler "Love" thread I found on Craftsy's shop. It's 40 weight Egyptian cotton by Rowan ( I believe). I never had any problems with the thread breaking, or bird's nests on the back. Absolutely wonderful, my only regret is that I didn't get more than one box, especially since it had lots of beautiful colors and was priced right. At least I know what to look for now, I also like to use silk and the polyester trilobal she likes. I recommend this class to everyone!!!!!Practice, practice, practice, and take Cindy's great advice. Thank you for the wonderful comments. I need to post more pictures for the class. It's so nice to get feedback. I live in a small town (temporarily) so I don't get to go to any fabric or quilt stores and get the feedback or friendship and sharing I'm used to in Denver. I'm so glad I found this site it's so great in every respect.
Oh thank you!! You made my day!! You will find your speed, especially with this class. I first took a class back in November 1998 and it took until a few months ago to finally get mine. Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate them :-)
