What materials did you use? 100% cotton

What are you most proud of? This was the most thrilling and the most terrifying quilting journey I have taken. Each 15" block has a unique free motion pattern. I encountered error codes on my sewing machine that I didn't know it had. It took me days just to figure out the magic combination that would work on my machine. I almost quit three times, but I kept coming back until I finally got it. Thank you Leah.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Leah was so helpful on getting me to figure out what went wrong after I modified my free motion foot. Just from a photo she told me to remove one rubber band loop and keep practicing. It worked.

Yes you can absolutely do this on an older basic machine. I know some people who do FMQ on sewing machines built in the 1940s. A supreme slider (or a Sew Slip which is the same thing) and Machingers gloves are really helpful.

I love the fabrics you used in this quilt and was wondering if you cut them yourself or purchased a jelly roll, and if so which ones? I also love the way you added the sashing between the blocks to make the colors pop! It's beautiful and very inspiring.

I used a "bright" jellyroll from connectingthreads.com and added about 8 strips I cut from my own stash for variety.

How did you find this class?

I have completed more than 88 Craftsy quilting classes. Of the 88 this class is in my top 5 favorites. It is very well organized and covers all aspects for a beginner free motion quilter using a domestic sewing machine. Leah is a wonderful teacher and she promptly responded to my question when I had difficulty modifying my foot for free motion quilting.
