What was your inspiration?
Just thinking of new ideas for quilt patterns. I must have seen an umbrella at that time and came up with the idea for a quilt of black umbrellas with the turned up handles. Instead of the quilt I did individual pieces.
What are you most proud of?
I think it is an original idea so I am proud of that. The bold colors with the black. Using easy quilt peicing with embroidry and beading in one project.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Mix up the color of the umbrella to go with a childs room or a covered porch etc. Add embroidered blue drops of water.
