I am not sure what I'm looking at here. Could you fill me in with some details? It looks really cool, whatever it is. I'm a big fan of fractals so the name caught my attention.

From the spinning colored fiber class. Fractal spinning is a way to make a bat with bands of color look harmonious. Fractals showing self similarity, the simplest form of fractal spinning involves splitting the fiber in half lengthwise, then splitting one of the halves in half. The thinner pieces translate to shorter color repeats, which then get plied with the long color repeat, and ending up with sections pairing each of the colors in the skein.
