Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Bag-Making Basics: Reversible Tote & Zipper Pouch »

Instructions

Allow plenty of time for cutting out and interfacing your pieces. I cut both the front and back to 6 x 10, since I can't seem to sew as close to the zipper as Kristin does. It all evens out better for me that way.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Casual, Cute

Materials

Four fat quarters (Riley Blake "Avignon"), interfacing, zippers

What was your inspiration?

Already gave away the first five I made. Needed more!

What are you most proud of?

I'm getting the hang of this whole sewing thing!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Allow yourself lots of time! If you rush, I guarantee you'll be using your seam ripper.

You might need to wipe off excess glue near the zipper seams when you're all done. It comes off easily.

Thank you! I ordered a fat quarter bundle of fabrics from the same designer/pattern line, so the fabrics all go together nicely.

Thank you! It takes a lot longer to make these than I think it will, unfortunately. So yes, busy! But the recipients will like them.
