What materials did you use? Learned new technique on BOM with Amy. I did not mark squares, just grabbed my blocks and the unused strips. Backing is flannel and it was wrapped to front forming binding.

What are you most proud of? Finishing it! I plan to make another one real soon.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just do it, cut your blocks out and then put those scraps in a bag and enjoy sewing. My lap size is 15 total blocks, a lap size. I did not add batting and used flannel for the backing. To quilt I used decorative stiches, just practice effect of differnt stiches. I also used different threads, some varigated. I think this type of quilt is vey forgiving.

That turned out so cute...After doing this block I too want to work on a qult for my sister using this technique.

It goes together quickly, good luck!

Lap size sounds a good idea, full size sounds a bit too daunting just yet, Jojacks.

This is an easy size to finish. Good luck, you could finish in a few weeks, just do a little each day or so.
