Thank You Scheri, I feel a bit better about it now some time has elapsed, I'm going to turn it into a cushion cover and try to believe the quilter's motto 'there are no mistakes, just happy accidents that give you something different' lol

love this way of piecing...where did you get your pattern????

The pattern is part of the course materials in the Craftsy Block of the Month 2012, this foundation paper piecing pattern as well as a circle of geese (which I'm currently in the middle of and tearing my hair out over lol) pattern is the October lesson, so if you sign on for this free course you'll be able to print off what you need. Just one point though, there seems to be a bit of a problem with the sizing of this block, mine came out far too big as did many other people's (there's a great deal of moaning in the questions section about it), so I'd print off only one copy and ignore the 1" test measure, you want to concentrate on getting the sizing of each short side of the triangle to 6 1/2", a bit of fiddling around at the start will save you a major headache at the end. Of course that is only a concern if you need your finished block to be 12.5", if not you can just print off all the copies you need. Hope you enjoy it.

How smart you are to lay out the fabric pieces before sewing Essem. Wish I'd done this :D Glad to see your tip on the size of the pattern. This was a common much discussed problem when I did it too (2012). Still looking forward to your final quilt !
