What materials did you use? Cotton materials, threads of various colors of embroidered butterflies to represent different forms of cancer ribbons, krienik and metallic threads - Every thread in this quilt was chosen to represent the types of cancer including the free form quilting.

What are you most proud of? I love the embroidered butterflies and the wording on each side of the quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time - I had planned on having a few weeks to finish this project - but due to a family illness - had to fly home a week before the cancer fundraiser. Needless to say - I only had one day to quilt, package and complete........I was definitely pressed for time - but all in all - I think it turned out quite nice. Hopefully - It will raise some money through the raffle/silent auction.

This is a really beautiful quilt even at first glance, but when you look further and see the butterflies and words of inspiration you see a quilt that was sewn with more than thread. Those of us who are fighting this disease are more grateful than I can express for people like you who dedicate more than time to help raise funds for research into beating this cursed illness.
