What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics - I'm planning on splitting this top just below the triangle "waves" and then just above the sand. I think I'll hand quilt the boats, sky and sand and ditch in the stitch in the middle.

What an adorable quilt! I certainly hope you remember to post a picture when it is done!!

Just the quilt I have been searching for. Where can I purchase the pattern? My son has requested a quilt that had boats and nautical designs. Love it.

I wish I knew the pattern. I have looked for it. I had a small booklet with about seven different patterns and it was designed for beginners to learn different techniques. The top row was hand and machine applique, the boats and fish were patchwork, the next was Seminole piecing and the the bottom was paper piecing. I didn't do everything "by the book," but it's very much like it. I have looked for the booklet in my room and gone back and looked on Amazon, done a google search and come up empty. If I ever find it, I'll let you know.
