What materials did you use? Cotton quilting fabric [Connecting Threads Berry Patch FQ sampler], polyester batting.

What are you most proud of? I really like the color combination, even though when I was laying out the initial design, I wasn't sure I was going to like how all those pinks, reds, and purples looked. But they worked! I tried my hand at feathers, and I think I did okay but I definitely need some more practice. I tried making FMQ clouds for the negative space, and that went really fast, and they were a lot of fun to do!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just make sure you like the layout, which was the most challenging aspect for me. And go with your gut instinct. I didn't, and so I changed the design a bit, and wish I would have left it like it first was. I still like the final design, but my original one would have looked a bit better I think. Oh, well, live and learn, right?

This is an amazing quilt. Lots of thought and planning pays off!

Thank you, Shoestring. Like I've said before, each project is just more and more practice. I don't think I'll ever be "perfect" but I'll keep on trying! LOL

You do such great & interesting work! Love the motto of liking it when you step back, way back, LOL! My husband always reminds me to do that & then I can appreciate it all a bit more instead of nit picking that 1 bleeping area! :) Or many bleeping areas :)

I have way more bleeping areas than I care to admit, but realistically, in the end they are not very noticeable, and as long as they don't damage the integrity of the quilt, I don't mind them... or rather, I am teaching myself not to mind them. LOL Thanks for checking out my stuff.
