What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's fun, does hurt the fingers a bit, but very forgiving for a beginner too!

Now THIS is a cake that speaks fashion when you see it. I'm VERY impressed with the ruffles, the belt and the top layer which to me reminds me of either a seersucker feel, crepe, or even a smocking look to it. It's a VERY impressive flower but believe it or not that's the only thing I would change. I would have several smaller ones or one smaller one in the middle. But then, everyone's taste and likes are all very different. The email that brought me into the site and this class today was about combining taste and fashion. To me this cake says fashion all the way. I think it would be PERFECT for a teenage girl or other woman's brithday or function. I've liked the ruffle look for quite a while now, I'm going to have to try it myself.

Thank you for your awesome feedback, I really appreciate it. And I agree with you about the flower and now cringe when I look at it lol. But it's still one of my faves. Did you try it yourself yet?
