What materials did you use? 100% Muskox qiviuq (30g black/12.5g natural), 40cm/3.25mm circular needle, 40cm/3.5mm circular needle, 3.25mm dp needles, stitch markers
What are you most proud of? I've never tried a Fair Isle pattern before and this one turned out really well. I managed to keep the yarn tension consistent and the pattern worked up nicely. The braid technique was really interesting to try. I may incorporate this into future projects.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I am ashamed to say that I never knit the tension swatch. I've always just jumped right into the project... With a wool as expensive as this i would recommend knitting the sample. I got lucky and my tuque fits (whew). Follow the directions for the braid and DO NOT attempt to untwist the yarn; they will, as promised, untwist in the second round.
