What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Forget everything else you've read or heard about free motion quilting for this class. Forget all the negative thoughts and doubts about your abilities. Listen carefully to Angela's instruction then just do it.

the 8's are crazy, leaning, not consistent even with drawing the lines. What I've learned from this lesson is that for me to do round shapes, I need to practice machine control on them, less control needed for flowy leaves. And....all work so much better on my LA in manual mode, 60%.

I thought swirls would be my biggest challenge but not so, it's circles. Most of them resemble river rock not circles and a few of them resemble lava rock-the kind that comes in a bag at Lowe's because we have no volcanoes in mid Missouri.
