What are you most proud of? picking it up so quickly - this quilt is not perfect by any means but I am pretty pleased with it for a first attempt. I like McTavishing, modern Weave and paisley best. Spiraling was alot more difficult to master but the last two blocks I quilted were spiral based and i can see a lot of improvement from my first spiraled block. This is also one of the flatest quilts I have made - not even a hint of a pleat in sight.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? just get in and have fun doing it. like Leah says the best way to learn this skill is to quilt lots of quilts.

Well done! Very good for a first attempt! Much better than my first attempts. McTavishing is one of my favs also.
