What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a quilt for my son who had been travelling the world for over two years. His favourite colour is blue, I found it quite a boring quilt to make, as I like to make colourful quilts. My son is a aeronautical engineer, so the block had to be connected to flying.
What are you most proud of?
That he loved it, though he's left it in my safe keeping at the moment as he has moved to Germany.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use different colours and prints to avoid boredom.
