What materials did you use? 11" x 18" quilting cotton quarters, fusible interfacing, 14" polyester zipper. Being just a practice project, I didn't bother getting matching threads...I just used whatever I had. For future projects, I will be neater.

What are you most proud of? I'm proud of the fabric quarters I chose! :) As far as construction goes, I think my stitches are pretty neat.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? You may want to use two layers of fusible interfacing for extra stiffness. Also, the zipper doesn't have to be super long--it only needs to be about an inch or two shorter than the smaller width (you'll be cutting off the ends anyway!).

Mine came out a little zipper was actually 14" so I thought I would cut off 2" to be safe and keep the measurements similar to Amy's. This resulted in more of a box than a rectangle. For the next one I make, I am going to add a layer of fusible interfacing to the lining as well as the outer just doesn't feel stiff enough with just one layer. Other than that, it's not TOO bad for my first one!
