What was your inspiration?
The classic tumbler block was my inspiration for this block.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Starch your fabric until it feels like paper, there are a lot of bias edges in this project and starch helps reduce stretching and fraying. I used a 5" tumbler template, you can make one of your own with mylar or paper. Cutting accurately is imperative for the pieces to fit together smoothly.
