Flower Pillow

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Sewing Texture »

Instructions

Make sure that you push the flowers right up next to each other or else you will have gaps like mine does.

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Cute, Mod, Romantic

Materials

Leftover scraps of material from previous sewing projects, Pinking shears, Rotary cutter, Self-healing mat, Basic sewing supplies, "Mark-B-Gone" pen

What was your inspiration?

The flower pillow project offered in the class..

What are you most proud of?

The fact that I was resourceful enough to use up my leftovers, even though it required more cutting and piecing and I could have used one of my new pieces more easily.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It looks like it is going to just zip together, but it does take some time. Be prepared that this is Not a quick make. I wanted to have it done in time to give as a gift and I started on it the day before thinking it wouldn't take just terribly long, but in the end it took much longer than I had expected. That being said, I would do this again in a heart beat.

And if you do not want much fraying definitely use pinking shears or a pinking rotary blade, because even with fraycheck I have been cutting and cutting strings off.
