What was your inspiration?
I have loved Hats with flowers for several years! I always made them so the flower was permanently attached. But I also like variety, so I decided to make my hats so the flowers can be changed to coordinate with an outfit.
What are you most proud of?
I use care in picking yarns and create a lot of my own flower designs to provide a variety of fowers in various styles and colors. People of all ages love this idea. I receive a lot of positive feedback and special orders.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are a beginner, start with single layer flowers in colors you like. For advanced crafters, mulit-layered flowers are beautiful. Make sure the button hole is not too big or it will fall off the button when wearing; at the same time, make sure it is not too tight that it is hard to get on. I recommend fitting it over the button before securing and finishing loose ends.
