Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Plant or Flower

For: Garden

Style: Outdoorsy, Military, Funky, Religious, Cute, Whimsical

Materials

perennials, metrical grow every 2 weeks, water, water, water. Mulch 3 inch depth.

What was your inspiration?

well when we bought our first home 3 yrs. ago the flower bed was already there. I love planting flowers and seeing what bright colors come out of them. so I began working with the flower bed that had really not much in it. now it is gorges and I get lots of compliments on it.

What are you most proud of?

How much hard work and time I have put in it. over the past 3 years. buying new flowers always adding to it and the different items I add each year such as the owl, the angel, my crosses and my prayer plaque.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do a lot of research before getting perennials because some will spread like you would not believe. Also ask for advice if your not sure how wide or tall it will get. I made the mistake of planting these dark purple flowers, they do not bloom any flowers but, they get tall so you would have to pick the tiny new ones coming in to have the flower spread so it would not get tall. Now they are coming back in my flower bed spread every ware. I now have to go out there and pull each and every one of them out by hand. won't do that again.
