What materials did you use? Fabric, wonder under, fusible stabilizer, fusible fleece, threads

What are you most proud of? I just went for it, not much planning just started cutting the flowers freehand. Always shocked an impressed with how much time it takes. Would need to sell for $80 to make minimum wage, no beneifits or Obama-care

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just try not to thing and work thru the ugly phase. I'm not in love with it but my such a nice Jewish grandmother of a mother thinks it's beautiful. That's all that matters.

I guess I could be your mom too since I love the appliqu and yes, everything always takes longer than we plan!

I like it when I make something and I have no real plan I just start cutting and trimming, sometimes not even planning out the colors too hard. Then you fight and struggle, during that is when better design comes to you and all the details that you could do better or add come to light.

I saw some of your work in that other stitching class, the ones where you can use colored pencils and etc. love that class I really want to take it! I'm taking a serger class for knit's, ceramics, and drawing at the local college, time and money issues. It looks awesome tho. I think the graphic the made for the class somehow confuses what it is tho. I took the college classes cuz I need more interaction with people. The hard part will be the 5-10:30pm. I'm still not all that active.

I really like it too! Very nice.

Thank you Zonie31. I know this might sound strange, but I almost feel like I pay Carol to be nice to me ;0) how many students would come back if she didn't compliment their designs? When I get other compliments it validates and makes it that much easier to accept her compliment. ;0) I do feel your genuine Carol it's my lack of confidence that plays tricks on me.

Fresh and funky...love it!

thank you. I will try anything once and then see how I can make it better the second time. Sometimes the more you do with out preconception the better for those happy mistakes. You might not be able to make the original look close to perfect but you for sure will know who to improve on the idea.

I'm glad to hear you are taking lots of different art classes. I find that what I learn in one medium, I can translate into another medium. Besides, its just fun to stretch yourself!
