What materials did you use? Cotton Gauze fabric with elastic thread.

What are you most proud of? The thing that I'm most proud of is that this project inspired Alaina to start sewing. She liked it so much that she bought different fabric to make a dress for her best friend's birthday. Alaina never made a garment before and her creation turned out fantastic. She even used my serger for the 1 seam on the dress!!! (I did coach her, but she did the stitching.)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose a light - medium weight woven or knit fabric. Decide what length you want to make your dress, skirt or top. When using the elastic thread in the bobbin, stitch more slowly to prevent jamming, etc. But the dress is so easy (and inexpensive) to make, you'll make a whole bunch of them. For laundering, wash on gentle/cold cycle and air dry to keep the elastic fresh.

Glad you're enjoying the class and that you've gotten some good tips. Princess seams can be difficult if you don't know a few tricks. But once you do, it makes all the difference in the world! And pressing tools are great additions to everyone's sewing room!

Gail thanks for the great Tee Time Makeover pattern. I have posted a picture of it. Hope you got it. Please tell me how to make the pattern larger for older girls. I just love this idea. hugs

I think you may have posted this on my site by accident. I didn't do a Tee Time Makeover, but thank you for posting the pics. It' always so much fun to see what everyone is doing!

Gail I did not make this dress. I made your Tee Time handkerchef dress and I posted that picture. I also asked you to help me make it bigger for a 9 year. Hope to hear from you.

The Tee Time handkerchief dress is not my project. It must be from another Craftsy class by a different instructor and I don't know which class it's from unfortunately. Can anyone else identify which class it's from? If I can direct to the right instructor, am sure that instructor can help you. Am so sorry I can't be more enlightening. It sounds like a fun dress. Thanks!
