Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2013 with Laura Nownes »

Instructions

This is Option "A" from the March 2013 BOM lesson.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Classic, Romantic

Materials

Cotton fabric & thread

What was your inspiration?

Floral fat quarter bundle & March 2013 BOM lesson on drafting.

What are you most proud of?

I've incorporated one pattern of some new fabrics I bought to flesh out my selection and I think it works well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Record your fabric selections after auditioning. You can write them down on a drawing and/or take a picture so you don't lose track of your plan. Measure and trim as you go to keep this rather large block square throughout.

Very beautiful! You did a great job selecting your fabrics. I hope eventually I will learn to pick better. I am enjoying every thing so far.

Great job, Jean. Your selection of fabrics is bold and so pretty. Love the fussy cut center on this block.

Thank you mpac! I'm loving this floral. Seems to go together for me easier than the polka dots. I'm concerned I'll run out of the kit fabric....

Both colorways look great! So fun to see two different quilts emerge! Makes me think I should be doing second quilt but I have so many WIPs!!!

Thanks again Darns. I'm with you on the WIPs! I've now made a resolution to STOP BUYING new fabrics and starting yet another. I must discipline myself to finish all the things I have in the works :D

Note- I'm making two quilts. I did option A for this one and Option B for the polka dots. They are shown together in one picture.
