Instructions

This quilt is made up of rail fence quilt blocks that are 6.5 x 6.5 before piecing them all together. The quilt shown here (using the materials shown in this post) is a 52" x 71" lap sized quilt.

Here are the rough guidelines:

1) cut linen into 2.5" strips
2) cut jelly roll strips and linen strips into 6.5" segments
3) sew two jelly roll segments and one linen ...

Love the color combo & quilting. Like the "feel" of linen was it hard to piece w/cotton?

The linen was only a little bit harder to work with in terms of cutting and manipulating (I find it distorts more than the cotton fabric). Other than that, I had no trouble at all combining it with the cottons. Thanks for your comment!

You sure don't see many quilts using gray fabric. I like it a lot.
