What materials did you use? Jelly Roll of the 1930's reprints. The Flip Flop quilt is multiple fat quarters collected.

What are you most proud of? Just the fun colors and how special it was to have sewn each of these quilts with a friend. Quilting and sewing friends are the best!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just don't be intimidated by the applique. I did mine with the blanket stitch on my Janome Sewing Machine. I also machine quilted....it doesn't have to be perfect....looking at it as a whole will be so satisfying....explore your own creativity with machine quilting. I am having a great adventure with mine. A good teacher is Leah Day you can purchase her classes here on Craftsy!

The quilt on the wall behind me was a "Disappearing 9 patch" I shared the idea with her. She made the design with bug themed material. Her own touch to the wall hanging was adding prairie points around the edges....such a cute quilt!
