Actually, I dreaded starting it. When I first tried out the design, the wings were a lot smaller, but it just didn't look right, so they grew as did the number of hexagons. I will not be trying this technique on any big projects in the near future.

Totally cute, I have my hexi blocks almost completed but I may try this butterfly sometime,
