What materials did you use? Thick fleece, Butterick Pattern, and a neat soft stretchy net like fabric for the lining.

What are you most proud of? The lining! I didn't even cut it out. I just rough cut a piece of the lining and pinned it to the vest and sewed it by hand. It looks great and it gives the fleece some stability.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't read the instructions, use the class knowledge instead. Also, make sure all seams are clean finished and top stitched.

Thanks. The true story is I made this vest up in muslin at the very very start of the Couture class and I thought it was a good fit for me. Well, as I was trying it on my husband told me it was all wrinkly in the back. There were no wrinkles! The vest is way too large across my shoulders. So, he got a new vest that fits just the way he likes them. I found it different sewing with fleece and my machine needed a cleaning when I was finished!
