Blue microfleece for the hoodie. Thin jersey for the hood lining.
What was your inspiration?
The Sewing with Knits class and wanting to learn to sew stretchy fabrics. This is my first project in using knit, stretchy fabrics.
What are you most proud of?
The hood lining. It was not part of the pattern, but I figured out how to do it, and it worked out!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I used the stretch stitch on my regular sewing machine instead of the zig-zag stitch. I found it looked neater. I also used an overlock stitch to finish the edges of the exposed seams on the hood and hood lining. Otherwise, I used the pattern from the course. The pattern is a VERY large style. I made the XXS and it is still rather loose, not fitted at all. So, if in doubt, go smaller.
