Flannel Shirt Quilt for a friend

Ran out of room!

Ready for the last four shirt pockets
First two of the last four shirt pockets
First four shirts
Ran out of room!

Instructions

I used the pockets from the shirts, four in the middle as a centerpiece on point and then four more set in on the sides. I didn't have a place to map it out until I bought the design wall. It helped me figure out the placement of the pockets for the outside and get them in the same row all the way around.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Women

Style: Outdoorsy, Traditional, Classic

Materials

A friend brought me her father's old plaid shirts that she wanted made into a quilt.

What was your inspiration?

A friend asked me to put this together for her.

What are you most proud of?

The finished project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Lay it all out first...I didn't have room!

Great job. I love it because it looks inviting, plus it's filled with memories(pockets), and the colors go well together.
