What materials did you use? thread-woven flannel, fleece

What are you most proud of? I had originally intended to quilt only the small squares, but in the end I embroidered in the hoop the full 9 1/2" block using a 200 X 200 mm quilting hoop. I used Aurifil thread - this is the second time I've used it and it was trouble free - both top thread and bobbin. The variegated grey thread blended nicely with the range of colours. I will definitely get more of this.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I hated working with the flannel - I know lots of people love using it, but I even gave away the remnants because I have no intention of ever working with flannel again!

I like the pattern & design...looks simple to do...without specific instructions...---it xould be adapted to one's own size & layout....I yet have to piece a quilt, but like looking @ designs, etc....for ideas that I may like to use....

That makes me want to call in sick and cuddle up with a good book!

what is on the back of your quilt?

Nothing special - I used a piece of white polar fleece I had on hand - I didn't use quilt batting, just juxtaposed the fleece and the flannel top, quilted it in the hoop and added the binding.
